Over The Air (OTA) allows for reception of local standard definition and high definition channels. All you need is an OTA antenna and a tv. Users can get up to 50 free channels and up to 20 free High Definition (HD) channels depending on your area.

Southern Ontario enjoys the most free OTA channels in Canada (+/-50), followed by Montreal, QC with about 20. Vancouver gets about 15, including some content from Washigton. Calgary, AB currenty gets 8 free TV channels, including 2 in HD
